A Special Treat For One Piece & Tokyo Ghoul Fans In Mumbai!

The Japan Foundation have organised a Japanese Film Festival from 19th January, 2018 to 24th January, 2018 in Mumbai. The organisers have handpicked 15 Japanese films, including anime movie, live action adaptation of anime/manga and a documentary; which will be screened during the 6 days event.

The list of the movies also includes Super Kabuki II One Piece, which is a stage play adaptation of Echiro Oda’s popular manga One Piece and live action film Tokyo Ghoul which is an adaptation of a popular manga of the same name.

Super Kabuki II One Piece Summary:

Straw Hat Luffy (Ennosuke) is the captain of pirates searching for the fabulous secret treasure known as One Piece, and he finds out that his big brother Ace (Fukushi Seiji) has been sentenced to death. He goes on a solo mission into the Impel Down prison to save Ace’s life, and an epic battle with the navy ensues.

Tokyo Ghoul summary:

Ken Kaneki, a normal college student who, after being taken to a hospital, discovers that he underwent a surgery that transformed him into a half-ghoul after being attacked by his date, Rize Kamishiro who reveals herself to be a ghoul. This was accomplished by transferring Rize's organs into his body, and now, like normal ghouls, he must consume human flesh to survive. Struggling with his new life as a half-ghoul, he must now adapt into the ghoul society, as well as keeping his identity hidden from his human companions.

Registration for the screening will start from 17th January 2018 at the venue i.e PVR Juhu. There is no entry fee for the audience attending the screening. Walk-in-entry will be allowed 10 minutes prior to the start of the film, subject to availability of the seats.
