Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters Per Second Reading Performance To Be Held In October

The 2007 romantic drama anime film by Makoto Shinkai, 5 Centimeters Per Second will be staged for the first time as a recitation drama and is scheduled to be held at Hulic Hall Tokyo from October 21 to 25, 2020. Some popular anime voice actors including three who previously joined Shinkai's works will take the stage for the performance. The general ticket sales are priced at 7,800 yen and will begin on October 10.

5 Centimeters Per Second was Shinkai's third solo work and was released in Japan on March 3, 2007. The film consists of three segments: "Cherry Blossom", "Cosmonaut", and "5 Centimeters per Second", each following a period in Takaki Tōno's life and his relationships with the girls around him.

Rina Ikoma (ex-Nogizaka46/AKB48 member)
