My Hero Academia is one of the fan-favourite shows right now. The show makes it to the top 5 anime that are currently running. Some fans even include the protagonist of this show, Izuku Midoriya famously called Deku, in the new generation big 3. The Anime is currently having 4 seasons. And if you’re waiting for season 5 we have some good news for you.

My Hero Academia aired it’s season 4 on October 12 2019. The first half of the show consisting of 25 episodes, ended it’s run on tv in April 2020. Due to COVID 19 situation the latter half of the show which was to be aired in August- September now seems to be slightly delayed. We don’t have a date yet, however, we expect it to be released in late September. So even before the end of season 4, there were speculations that the show was renewed for season 5. The creators took the social media as a platform and confirmed that the speculations are true. And informed fans that the new season will be retaining most of its season 4 cast. We weren’t given any release date, however, with the COVID 19 situation, we are expecting season 5 release summer of 2021.

We heard that Tv studios in Japan are slowly resuming, so we anticipate some update about season 5 pretty soon. Also, Funimation gave a disclaimer that all the English dub voice actors are now recording their lines safely from home, so dubbing for the English version shouldn’t be a problem either.

The creators meanwhile want to tease fans with something, so they released a couple of OVAs for season 4 English dub on “Scener” a live platform on August 15th, with Justin Briner, the voice actor for Deku in English dub.
