Shikamaru Nara's Voice Actor Shotaro Morikubo Becomes a Dad!


Voice actor of Shikamaru Nara (from Naruto Shippuden) Showtaro Morikubo recently became a father to a girl child. The popular voice actor confirmed the news on a radio show "The Bay LINE". The actor also broke the news via his twitter account.


Morikubo noted that he is already learning to change diapers for the baby girl. Fellow voice actors like Kenn and Ryōtarō Okiayu sent their well-wishes to his family. Many fans are awwed by the news and his new nickname "Chichikubo" is already trending in Japan.


Shotaro married a "regular woman" in 2014 but otherwise kept the details about his wife private. The 43-year-old voice actor had earlier married fellow voice actress Yū Asakawa in 2007. The couple got a divorce in 2009 due to the differences in their personalities.


Morikubo will notably be heard next as Koji Kabuto in Mazinger Z/Infinity and he will reprise his role as Yūsuke Makishima in Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line series that will debut next month. He is also starring in next season's second season of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. as Uryoku Chōno.
