The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu dark fantasy manga Yakusoku no Neverland (The Promised Neverland) has posted a 90-second full trailer and features its theme song, "Tadashiku Narenai" (I can't be right) performed by Japanese rock group Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni (ZUTOMATYO).
20-year-old Minami Hamabe (Yumeko Jabami in Kakegurui), who is cast as the film's protagonist Emma, says, "I have loved Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni.-san's worldview and listened to their songs, so it was reassuring that they provided a theme song for the world of YakuNeba. The theme song 'Tadashiku Narenai' exactly depicts Emma and her friends who are resisting the environment. When I first heard the song, I felt like I had a clear view of the world of the live-action film. I can't wait to see the film that will be completed when the theme song is played at the end of it. Thank you for the wonderful music."
The live-action film adaptation is directed by 47-year-old Yuichiro Hirakawa, It is set to be released in Japan on December 18, 2020.

* Norman: Rihito Itagaki (Another Kikai in Kamen Rider Zi-O)

* Sister Krone: Naomi Watanabe (comedian)
The anime adaptation first premiered from January 11 to March 29, 2019, with 12-episodes.
A second season was announced in March 2019. It was originally set for release in October 2020 but was postponed to January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu launched The Promised Neverland manga in the 34th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump on August 1, 2016. The manga ended in the 28th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump on June 15, 2020.
In June 2020, it was revealed that Amazon Studios is developing an English-language live-action series adaptation of the manga. Rodney Rothman is directing the series and Meghan Malloy is writing the pilot. Rothman, Masi Oka, Roy Lee and Miri Yoon are the executive producers of the series. Touchstone Television and Amazon Studios are producing the series.
