The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo To Take Place From Sept. 4th-6th, 2020

Crunchyroll Expo has become one of the largest conventions for anime enthusiasts, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The event has since announced its plans to take place in a virtual setting and bring the fandom from around the world, the excitement found at their physical expo in their own homes. The event is free to attend so that you don't miss out on any of the fun, with open registrations for virtual passes on the convention's official website.

Crunchyroll released their guests' list, panels, and event announcements along with interactive events and special screenings. More announcements will be made in the coming days on their official website.


"V-CRX attendees will have the chance to hear the cast of "Rent-a-Girlfriend" including Sora Amamiya, the voice actress of Chizuru Mizuhara (also Aqua in "Konosuba"); Aoi Yuki, the voice actress of Mami Nanami (also Tanya in "The Saga of Tanya the Evil"); Nao Toyama, the voice actress Ruka Sarashima (also Yui Yuigahama in "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU") and Rei Takahashi, the voice actress for Sumi Sakurasawa (also Emilia in "Re: ZERO")," the company confirmed.

"V-CRX also announced Kenta Onishi, the director, Yuki Yamada, the producer, and Satoshi Shoji, the Editor of Original Work of "The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter" to share more about their upcoming anime. "So I'm a Spider, So What?" light novel author Okina Baba is also set to make an appearance at V-CRX."


Some of the guests announced till now are Yongje Park, creator & author of the hit WEBTOON series, The God of High School, Masahiko Komino (Director of Gibiate), Voice actor Soma Saito (Akira Natsume in EX-ARM, Tadashi Yamaguchi in Haikyu!!), Yoshikatsu Kimura(Director of EX-ARM), Jeho Son(Writer of Noblesse), Kwangsu Lee(Artist of Noblesse), Tsukasa Kiryu(Light novel illustrator of "So I'm a Spider, So What?"), etc.


The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo (V-CRX) will be hosting Crunchyroll-Hime's Cosplay Cup, with creators Mario Bueno, Vampy Bit Me, Creatures of Habit, and God Save the Queen as judges. So anyone interested in the cosplay event can register before the start date on September 4th.

The Virtual Expo will also be hosting a "New Crunchy City Anime Arts District", which "will include highlights and links directly to the digital stores of each artist chosen for this year's event" to support the artists. It will allow fans to buy all kinds of merchandises from their favourite artist through the Crunchyroll Expo website.


The Virtual Crunchyroll Expo will start streaming from Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 7th, 2020 on its official Crunchyroll Expo website. The Convention is free to attend for all the anime enthusiasts and the registrations are opened for the fandom to get their hands on the virtual passes on the official convention website.
