The official spin-off anime series of Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha – Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is to start streaming on Ani-One official YouTube channel in October. The announcement was made on Friday on their YouTube channel and via a trailer released on their Facebook page.
The original series Inuyasha was launched by creator Rumiko Takahashi in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1996, which ran till 2008. The manga was followed by its anime show from 2000 to 2004 with a 167-episodes long run. There was also a 26 episodes sequel to the original anime that broadcasted from 2009 to 2010. The sequel was titled InuYasha: The Final Act.
The anime also has a smartphone game under its name, titled ‘Inuyasha - The Awakening Story’. The game was designed by Korean developer Hammer Entertainment, which announced the game in the later dates of January 2020. The game is billed as the first full 3D app game based on Inuyasha and will feature Inuyasha, Kagome, and other characters whom the player can befriend as the story progresses. InuYasha Awakening is available on Google Playstore.
Yashahime: Princess Half Demon will follow the story of half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna who are separated by a forest fire in medieval Japan. While searching desperately for her younger sister after the fire and wanders into a mysterious tunnel that teleports her into a present-day Japan where she is found and taken care by Kagome Higurashi’s brother Sote and his family.
The anime will premiere in Japan on October 3rd in NTV and YTV. Along with India, Ani-One will stream Yashahime in Hong Kong, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Nepal, Macau, and Taiwan.
