Funimation recently confirmed that the second season of Attack on Titan anime will premiere on 1st of April in Japan on 21 networks, including Tokyo MX and MBS, on the same day. The foreign licensing company also announced that they will be simultaneously streaming the dubbed version of the new season. On the other hand, the anime's official website revealed latest key visual of the upcoming season on Tuesday, while Funimation disclosed a version with the English title.
To talk about behind the curtains, director of the first season, Tetsuro Araki is handling the responsibility of the chief director while, episode director Masashi Koizuka is promoted as a director for the second season. Also as announced in August, Keiji Fujiwara who gives voice for the character Hannes will be taking a break to undergo medical treatment for an unspecified illness. Apart from this all the major staff members and cast of the anime remains the same as of the first season.
