Kyoko Okazaki's Rever's Edge manga will soon be adapted into a live action film. According to a popular website Anime News Network the film will open in Japan in 2018. It is also confirmed that actress Fumi Nikaidō will be playing the role of Haruna Wakagusa and actor Ryō Yoshizawa will be seen playing the role of Ichirō Yamada. Pink and Gray director Isao Yukisada will be directing the film.
The manga was first launched in Takarajimasha's CUTiE magazine in 1993, which ended in 1994. A compiled book volume of the manga was later published in 2000, and again in a hardcover edition in 2008. Takarajimashi later re-issued the manga again in 2015.
Rever's Edge Synopsis:
The story revolves around Haruna Wakakusa and Ichiro Yamada who become friends after she saves him from her ex-boyfriend's bullying. Through him she gets to know Kozue Yoshikawa who is a fellow student and a professional model. Their relation with eachother gets battered after one disastrous night.
